2012 NC Primary Election - May 8
Contested seats for the following will be on various ballots in Buncombe County, according to district locations and party affiliation. Note that there will be a choice of Democratic, Libertarian, Republican, or Nonpartisan ballots. Unaffiliated voters may choose one ballot from the four. The nonpartisan ballot ONLY includes the Constitutional Amendment question; the partisan ballots all include the amendment question.

Voting Access
EARLY VOTING One-Stop Voting for the PRIMARY ELECTION takes place from Thursday, April 19, through Saturday, May 5. Polls are open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the exception of May 5 when the hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (There is no early voting on Sundays.)
Note that you may register and vote on the same day during the "One Stop" Early Voting period.
There are 11 early-voting locations this year:
- North Asheville Library, 1030 Merrimon Ave.
- Black Mountain Library, 105 N. Dougherty St.
- South Buncombe Library, 260 Overlook Road
- Fairview Library, 1 Taylor Road
- West Asheville Library, 942 Haywood Road
- Biltmore Square Mall, 800 Brevard Road
- Buncombe County Training Center, 199 College St.
- Kenilworth Presbyterian Church, 139 Kenilworth Road
- Lutheran Church of the Nativity, 2425 Hendersonville Road
- UNCA-Justice Building, One University Heights
- Weaverville Town Hall, 30 South Main St.
Voting on May 8 takes place at individual precincts countywide. Locations are available through the voter information guide above. For additional information, including access to absentee ballots and information about your district and precinct, call Buncombe County Election Services, 250-4200.
